Saw Nick Saban and Co. step off a Delta 757 and onto the buses in DFW earlier today (1630ct).

Michigan parked 3 gates over about 30 mins later in a 767.

The E terminal there was as packed as I have ever seen it.

Story on DL net says we are flying 32 NCAA football teams around this year...not to mention all the NFL teams.

Jump seated tonight with a person on the hiring committee. App window is open. Only a small amount to cover 717s as previously briefed. Comair not getting preferential treatment.

I think you have to let those go. We all get vacation and junior and senior get MIL leave so I'm glad we get credit for that. Who wants to come back from 2 weeks vacation only to kill yourself the last two weeks working.

I would like to see the SC's go out just like the next flying assignment. Based off of the RAW bucket. Not cool to do back to back 4 days and then be the only one without a SC so you get nailed.

Otherwise I think the system is ok. I am probably the most junior guy on this board and I managed a 52 raw (apx) for the month. Sat 3 sc's and 4 days of flying. Now if I followed my new hire buddies over to the ER I would likely be getting kicked in the balls.

Want QOL? I say junior equip is the way to go!

Last week had a guy in jumpseat that was in a recall class from Mil Leave from 10 years ago...he says they are bringing back 10 a month...anyone else getting this intel?

Totally agree on the SCs. They shouldn't be seperate buckets from the overall. I flew until i was in a different bucket than the senior people for may, june, and july... then got short calls and got called out on them while the senior guys were sitting long call who had already burned their short calls.
