Everybody raves about YNAB (you need a budget). I tried it for a while, but it told me I spent too much money on beer, so I quit...the software, that is.

Switched over to Moneywell from Quicken after I had enough of their nickel and diming for shoddy software.

I've never really gotten a hang of there income/expense bucket approach to budgeting, but either way I like the program. I just live paycheck to paycheck, so i don't have to worry about a budget. Works well on Mac and reasonable responsive customer service.
