The first buses did have IFE in them. NWA paid to have it removed.

I hate to be a pessimist here but I do find this "leaked" information a bit fishy considering we are trying to survive another AE. The carnage on this AE has a bunch of people really flailing...again...

That system was installed after delivery by an outside vendor...it never worked right and every time you came to a MX station, they had vendors there to try and fix it. Crappy system. What I don't understand is why they don't install one now?

Seems to me that most of the competition has it. The seat back type seems to work great over the POS we had 15 years ago. They put new interiors in the bus but I guess the dollars weren't there for IFE. Probably not necessary since they fly it like the 9 anyway and don't want to maximize it's longer haul capability.

I LOL everytime I read something like this. I find it funny that people are still so hung up on the phrase "may begin the hiring process as early as 2012". I guess it was a bluff, just like the B717s.
