Look at the good side. At least you get to fly the pride of long beach.
My friend Bunny Lebowski designed the hydraulic system when she interned with Douglas while in Cosmetology school. Today Bunny doesn't work. Come to think of it, neither do Douglas hydraulics. Thank goodness you don't need them.

About C2012 regarding QOL, I don't want to hear "In order to get this better policy geared towards commuter, we have to give up xxx in this contract."...
With this merger, we have a much larger number of commuters than we've ever seen at DL. However, I still project the ATL non-commuting votes will affect the outcome.

Has anyone heard wheather Management is going to put out a pre SOC aircraft base? Do you think they will just put out massive AE and give you a few days to bid? I would personally love to know what aircraft, in what base, on what routes before the AE comes out.

Operationally, how do you do a fuel awareness check? After checking to see if your tanks are correct and you have fuel rel FOB...do you do a reasonabless check eg, fuel loaded in gallons divide by fuel density to come up with pounds than add to your inbnd fuel. Thanks
Bid will not be as big as initially planned and they will probably AE positions then do a surplus clean up.
In effect the only thing that they are stating is a known is the 90's to MSP and the 320 to SLC, everything else is up in the air.

This is done on the paper FSR. I am guessing that if it is out of limits the computer will send a warning to load control and then to mtc to have the tanks dipped.

Time to get a little back.
Quick thread drift question, carry over pay, this month or next? Looking at PWA Section 4, trying to figure this out: there is a 2 day showing on open time as a BL and Credit of 10.5 hours, 4.5 on the 31st and 6.0 on the 1st.
Am I reading 4-4 correctly to say you can pick it up, you'll get 4.5 in August and 6.0 in September but if you want you can transfer all 10.5 to August but your September guarentee goes down by 6.0 hours?
Or do you just get paid 10.5 in August?
PAW 4-4
Note: Such pilot may request that Crew Scheduling apply credit hours from the subsequent bid period to the prior bid period in order to recoup an amount equal to the credit hours that were scheduled to occur in the transition rotation within the prior bid period (not to exceed the applicable white slip pickup limit). The subsequent bid period will have a corresponding number of credit hours reduced from the total credit hours for that bid period.

We (DAL-S) cannot do any of the intra Asia flying until SOC since all of it is covered under the Fifth Freedom Rights. We are only going Guam now since it is an American Territory. I am assuming that as soon as we get SOC you will see a shift.
