DAL 88 shouldn't be the one reminding us. It should be DALPA. That reminder should be the letterhead of all DALPA communications.

But that might displease management. Couldn't have that.

So in 58 years the mag heading for runway 9/27 has shifted 8 deg and the airport elevation has increased by 2ft. I would have thought will all of my landings there it would have gone down by at least that much

Seeing the old layout of the ATL airport and runways 15 and 21 really helps make some of those strange taxiways on the south side make more sense.

In fact....I think Dos Gringos wrote a song about it..... (The Legend of Shaved Dog's Ass).
Another instant classic.

If we only still had those charts ... think of the money Delta would save on gas. Instead of flying down wind till abeam Huntsville, Talladega, or Augusta / Athens, the clearance coud be "Delta, cleared direct Atlanta VOR at 5,000; cleared for the option, report on the ground." (the Douglas fleet would get a 10,000 foot clearance)

With a properly executed overhead break, we would not even need to monitor cool down time ... already done.

Default increased competition in NYC?

Jetblue just ordered 35 new 321's and upgraded some of their backlogged orders to NEO's:

Why? Is it your belief that Delta pilots are unaware of our pay rates, and where we fit in the industry? I guess we're different. I give the pilot group a little more credit for being aware of our status, and judging whether or not they have a good contract.

I get that you disagree. What I don't get is that you assume most pilots agree with you, and need to be reminded of how terrible our careers are, and how much this job sucks.

Maybe you could start a committee of like-minded thinkers to stand in front of OC-2, dressed as Admiral Ackbar, yelling at pilots coming in to interview, "It's a trap!"

I think I still have those in my leather bound Jeps. They're still OK, right? For sure I have them in the 880 performance charts...

Those charts are older than the -9, proving not much at all.
