Me, personally, flying the 717 and all, seem to out of ATL do a lot of MD-88 replacement, DC-9 replacement and ATR 72 replacement. I don't think I ever fly this airplane not full, partly because the 88 and 9-50 were all larger than the 717.

It's just what I am seeing from here.

It was put together back in December hoping to eventually hook it up with either icrew max or get permission from IT to go get the data automatically. So far neither avenue has panned out. For now you have to copy/paste your rotations from icrew. It's slower than an auto load, but much faster than the ALPA app. It would probably take you 5 min to paste your JAN-MAR into the program. Future rotations are loaded the same way. You can update the times as you fly a rotation or just re load it after the rotation is complete .

You load by pasting a rotation into a window and it chews it all up, putting the data in the appropriate place - as opposed to the ALPA app that makes you tap everything in leg-by-leg. It also incorporates delta rules unlike the ALPA app which is FAA generic.

If anyone has a line on the icrew max guy let me know. I've tried to email them a few times but so far no response...that would be the ideal setup.

Agree FTB. The 717 reminds me of the late 80's early 90's DC9/737-2/M88 mainline flying. Eventually I think you'll see CHA, MGM, SHV, GSO, and similar all belonging to the 717. We gave those places away and now we are getting them back. And... I hear we be a lookin' for more 717's.

BTW, does anyone know if Hank is out of business?

The ALPA 117 AP is much better.

You crazy 717 guys are stealing our Airbus flying out of Atl! (AGS, TRI, and so on)

I think there is some talking past each other for the positive and negative spinners. In reality, both are sort of right. Yes, the 717 is basically replacing DC9 flying that had been lost when they were parked (there were a lot more than 17), and yes the 717 is growth off of our low spot.

The good news is that we are recapturing flying that got outsourced. Plus we are going to do ATL-ABI on main line for the first time.

FTB, I tried to PM you but your mail box is full. My daughter is interested in the Aviation program at AU.

Yep, that is good news. They are deploying the 717s in some markets that have never seen mainline service which is interesting. At the very least, that creates an interesting study on population dynamics in the 20 years since the outsourcing scheme really took hold to see what can now support that size aircraft. It also behooves us to be cognizant of what aircraft we have parked even since the merger.

For example, NW only used to fly prop aircraft to TRI... we are going to 2 airbuses a day next week (either that or it already started this week) out of ATL.

We do have GNV now, that was a CRJ route wasn't it? The 88 took Chattanooga a while back, that was good to see.

I don't mind if we steal ROA from you and PHF from CR2s.

Conquering the world from... underneath.

You can delete the number. And I'll go delete the PM box.
