Would this include making fun of one of the company's airplanes?

The number of pilots who could pick up a sextant and shoot / plot a moon or sun LOP or three star fix are probably down to 1/10th of 1%. Those are probably sailors who cruised before GPS was invented.

Think I already know the answer, but will that bid help avoid the 21 day in the row coverage awards?

The moon, the sun, orion, the ultimate GPS!

It worked for Columbus, right?

"Look...INDIANS!"

Damned those clouds!!

I'm reading a very good book about Curtis Lemay right now, crazy how they were using celestial to find ships on the sea, from the air, prior to WW2,...but he did it!

* and if miamigo Sailing fun reads this, I am not implying that any airline which awards 81.5 hours for coverage in near contiguous fashion on the front of the month is anything but adequately staffed for their operation and contingencies. No, I've learned and would never suggest such a thing.
I think the 717B has 1/3 more pilots available than is required almost every day for the remainder of the month.
