Gypsies are good, I get all my tiny executive look-alike dolls from Gypsies. (Pins are extra.)

A local fortune-teller was arrested for fraud. When a waiting customer asked how they knew she was a fake, the cop replied: "A real one would have seen us coming."

Thanks for the Italy info. We're off. Nothing like last minute trips!

For your reserve bid just put as many reserve days in the shadow period.

Thanks! Just saw my shadow period ends on the 22nd. So basically try to bid as much as possible to minimize my flying post IOE?

Same for reserve days? Try to bid as many in a row within the shadow period?

Somebody has to get sent home with pay because there are only two approved Class 1 rest spaces.

Exactly; wish you better luck than I had. Tip: Don't make it too complicated.

Lets say your shadow days are a 10 day window and you try to shove all your reserve days in them. Then your training/OE ends before the end of the shadow days, are you on the hook for the reserve days within the shadow days?

Disagree. The definition of "shadow" [emphasis added]:

Any such rotation(s) or on-call day(s) will remain available to be awarded to another pilot in PBS.

Didn't the union just win a grievance for just this, wherein a bunch of new hires had been improperly worked during their shadow? The remedy was PB day(s) added to those affected. About three months ago, if memory serves...?
