A RAW score is a number assigned to reserves. I'm not sure what the acronym stand for, but it's something like "Reserve Availability ..." Someone here will probably know.
Basically, at the beginning of the month everyone starts at zero and the number goes up the more you fly. There are apparently other factors that influence the number, but I'm not sure what they are. Time flown is the biggest factor in determining your score.
The purpose of the RAW score is to spread the reserve flying equally as possible. The company doesn't want someone to go over guarantee while another is sitting at home having hardly flown. So the person with the lower RAW score would get a trip before someone with a higher score, because by definition, that person hasn't flown as much that month. That way, you don't have someone with 90 hours for the month and another with only 20 hours.
If you really want to fly, you can lower your RAW score by 15 points. You go to PCS, then slip requests to do that. Be aware that by doing this, you are really submitting a yellow slip, so all the YS rules rules regarding trip assignments apply.

Anyone know if Crew Planning will tell us any advanced information, like what's the junior seniority number to hold Atlanta?
It is a guess. You can call them, they may answer they may not. I cannot hurt.
ok, how long does it take for a new password to take effect. I put in a new one this morning (to try and tame my phone password) and when I went in to check some loads a few min ago it would only take the old one.
Oh, and I've still got 12 keystrokes to get into the phone system (counting **and #)

You got that bid figured out yet?

Yeah, not to decide is to decide
I'm stay'en in MSP till they do something with the Asia flying.
I did throw a hale mary pass to slc320a (70%) and sea330b (70%) as AEs, but that was all. Everything else was MD, just in case as I don't think they will get me in MSP755.
Howboutyou?

Displacememt: A whirlwind all the way down to NYC M88A. Will probbaly throw in a -400 B bid then 755 B bid to plug.
Basically, I think my bid reflects that I want to stay on the -9 as senior as I can be in DTW/MSP/MEM. If I can't, I'll go to the -88/90. No French Stuff.
At least I think that's what my bid says.....

I'm an RCH from running for DALPA office I'm so sick of this crap.
WHY do we not have practice bids? Why can't we do things in icrew (like pickup out of base p/u's) that are allowed in OUR contract but are not feasible due to DL technology being AFU?
48hr lockout on line holder w/s pickups??? what the hell is that all about?
24hr s/c's on ER categories that have almost 50% domestic flying?
After we are singing koombayaa around March or so as a pilot group....I say we grab the torches and pitchforks and head for the widget Kremlin together.
That and the fact that I may ONLY be a 3rd year first officer...but the fact that I make the inflation adjusted SAME amount that i made when I graduated from college in unforgivable.
