Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Actually, he gave the top 517 spots for the number of wide bodied captain and first officer jobs brought to the merger. Nicolau counted both captains and first officers (also I believe LTD) to reach 517. It was only after accounting for all the wide bodied jobs (both captain and first officer) that the ratios started.

Ferd I'll do my best after a great game and several cold ones....
Scheduling will wait till around 0900 the day before your original sign in to notify you of one of two things:
1) trip taken and you are subject to recovery flying
2) trip taken and reassigned another pairing

If you don't acknowledge their attempts at notifying you within 3 hrs of report (double check the time) they will remove any recovery flying that was placed on your schedule. You are now on short call for the first 6 hrs starting at your original report....if nothing within those 6 hrs your released for the remainder of the foot print.
