Let me first say that Texas played a heck of a game. That freshman qb is going to be something. The way he gathered himself in the second half to bring them back is just amazing. That defense was also stellar for Texas. If not for Bama's end of the half interception return this could be a different story. Congrats to Super and all the UT fans (among whom I live) for a great season. ROLL DAMN TIDE!!!! So I woke up, pulled out the iPhone and saw the final score but then I saw the box score where it got down to 24-21, oh my. Well congrats Satchip! Enjoy. Super, heck of a D, Heck of a true freshman backup and don't forget probably the greatest game in CFB history was Vince Young handing those punks from USC a loss on a 4th down play with time running out. Screw USC. Ice wasn't bad around ATL, side roads however like camp creek are horrible. You should see the cars trying to get to the employee parking lot but can't make it up the hill. |

Well I'll start by saying congrats to the bama fans!
With that said, it's a DAMN shame Colt didn't get to play cause this would a hell of a game! I feel for Colt in that he had to end his stellar college football career like that! Now about Gilbert, that kid is 19 years old and was one of the highest recruited QBs in the country and he will be a great QB in the coming years. The kids got 2 Texas state championships under his belt from Highschool so the Texas fans have high hopes for him. This sure was a hell of a stage for him to come out on but I think this will give him some rediculous confidence starting his college career. Some of his rookie mistakes reallly hurt us in this game but he kept it together which was good to see him step up. My horns fought with what they had to work with and that 2nd half was an absolute freaking blast to watch. I'm proud of them for playing the way they did after losing our #1 player and leader in the biggest game of the year. It was impressive to hear the Texas half of the stadium chanting "Gilbert, Gilbert"! That had to be motivational for him and I'm looking forward to watching him mature. Being there in person was just plain awesome!! The atmosphere was unreal. The Texas defense rocked the freaking house in this game and with colt in my prediction would have been Texas by 10 in this game ;) some favorite quotes throughout the pregame and game by the bama fans was, "damn Texas has some good looking girls!!!" and this one was heard many times throughout the whole day by both sides, "we can't give you guys much greif because all your fans have been very classy and nice". I can't tell you how many times we heard that from them and how many times I told that to some of the bama fans. The teams are both classy programs and full of alot of southern pride! It really was a great atmosphere. I'm still in recovery mode so no pics just yet but I'll work on some here soon once I get rehydrated and filter the large amounts of booze that was consumed throughout the last 48 hours here in Sunny LA. The wx was just perfect there btw ps as much as you guys wanted to believe the "streaker" was me, I wasn't ;). He did come out of the stands right in front of me though lmao. That clown actually ran around for a good while before they finally got his ass off the field. PSS I assure you that none of those queens in the tailgating picture are me and I'll be honest, a group like that wouldn't have lasted very long in the group of fans I saw yesterday. I did see some rediculous eye candy running around (of the female sort) while I've been down here though! |
