I personally think that the 50 seater is just too long gone to recover, but we should be trying to regain control of any flying above that.
I have no problem where a guy comes from in terms of getting his experience. Wheather it is civil or military it shoud make no difference. I blame the companies and alpa for the amount of flying that the RJ does much of it that used to be main line flying. I prefer the business model of SWA or AT in that they have no relationships with regionals. It bothers me that the regionals get paid by DAL wheather there is a person in the set or not. Who cares if they are on time, provide a good service, and treat the passengers right. Many passengers are hostage to great disservices and have no other choice to fly. Most people I know hate flying the smaller aircraft(no slam intended just stating what I hear). DAL is only as good as it's worst regional carrier because when the customer goes away the plane still has DELTA on the side of it. I would not brand my self if it is not flown by DAL, owned by DAL and controled by DAL. Yes I know we can't fly to every small city but we could sure change the nature of the relationship between DAL and the regionals tied to us. I also think we need much better scope and alot of that could be cleared up by using population size to determine where the RJ flies i.e. ATL_DTW is obviously not a route that an RJ should be flying. Just my .02

Although i do like the new POLLS on here, I feel as if this thread has become a dud!!! Can we get the action back on this thread? It was hard enough trying to keep up with this. Even harder to keep up with 4 different threads!!!

Trying to go to 5 threads now is time consuming unless you just camp out here. It is a good idea to have the other threads but also a one stop shop was not so bad. It is what it is and those threads that are boring will die.

What does the PWA say about Personal Drops (PDs). How many a bid period are allowed? Per year? Is that year based on your employment year or calendar year?

You can do as many PD's as you want. You can drop the whole month, month after month if the reserve coverage is there. Now an authorized personal drop (APD) is a once a year deal and is based on your hire date (at least for fDAL guys).
