In my class on July 2nd the 737 went senior both ATL and NYC. Then the MD-88 Atl and the last 7 "choose" MD-88 NYC. Then again, I think just about everone was just happy to be in class. All the NYC guys except 1 want to get back to ATL.

the ER will be in Aug at the earliest. They need to get the initial program in place. They had one in place for the 757/767 domestic. That is why they had new hires in class on July 2nd on it. They are filling the 100 plus 88 openings in ATL as well as the NYC slots that people have bid out of.

The official numbers from an official source for the class on the 16th were 5 737 ATL, 4 737 NYC, 9 MD-88 ATL, and 8 MD-88 NYC. Next class will have a couple of 767 slots and the rest will be 88 and 737 slots. It appears that the last class in Aug may see a few more ER slots and then when they see what they can fill on the bid coming in early AUG, they will start to fill the ER vacancies in September. I would also bet that class sizes will increase. The class on the 16th had 26 and if I were a betting man I would bet that the next class will have more than that.

Here is another rumor to throw into the mix for everybody that cares about seniority. As we have heard before the seniority was assigned from the first digit of the last four of your social and going from 0,1,2 etc. up to 9. Well from my best friend who is in the new class he said an ALPA member came in and said they will rebid tomorrow going from 9, 8, 7 etc. to 0. Talk about changes to those who already picked!

Big picture from you guys pursuing DAL......how long from application to interview, then if successful, from offer to class date?
