I'm displacing back to the 88. Looking forward to being a lineholder. As a commuter, I have decided to chase quality of life.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Welcome Back Guard Dude!! :)

We've decided to make this thread required reading for newhires. What do ya think of that?:p

The other alternative being discussed is out right confiscation and putting the money in ones SS account. Research Teresa Ghilarducci. Truly scary stuff.

acl65pilot 04-14-2010 06:06 AM

Satch, I have seen that too. No way.

I have not seen that, but now I am more ****ed:mad:

That's what we said about campaign finance, government ownership of banks, auto companies, the student loan business, and health care. Never say never with this bunch.

In my case my accounts have a few zero's here at DAL and a lot of zeros other places. That will not float with me. I understand what they are trying to do, but it is not going to solve it. I liked the idea of SS monies being put in to a 401k in my name.

When it is in my name from the second it is deposited all things are right in my world. If this gets traction we may need to look at a D-ALPA or third party managed DB plan again...... (not that I am a fan)

I beleive it was actually a South call out many years ago, but I'm not 100% certain.

Thank you for your service, GD. Welcome back home!

Denny,

I have NEVER seen you complain on here. I don't know how you do it. Yes, your pedaling counts. :D

New K Now (Off to make one small complaint.) :)

It was more of a presentation as to where we were (industry wise) and that we need to be able to change and adapt to a new playing field with regard to contract negotiations. We are done giving up! It is now the job of the company to find the revenue. We (the Delta Pilots) need to have a profitable company and we are must have the long term vision for continued success.

Pretty tame, I was waiting for some chairs to get thrown and foul language but everyone was civil.

I was there too. I was very surprised to find it extremely tame as well. I think it was a sign that the majority are trying to move along and work together. That being said, I also got the following:
LM: I don't discuss personnel issues, but no one was fired (referring to committees).
Then on the break, KW: Well, I certainly didn't volunteer to leave.
