I asked him about SCOPE and He said," If RAH joins STAR AllIANCE, Scope will be bypassed because RAH is a STAR ALLIANCE AIRLINE".

This is going to get interesting, time to nip it in the bud..

A) Can we contract a Star Alliance airline flying feed for us as a SkyTeam member?

B) Can any other carrier in the U.S. apply to fly for SkyTeam going forward now that CAL left and NWA-DAL are one? i.e. could as ACL once oppined could a DCI try to go directly to SkyTeam?

Since we have 5.6 billion in the bank, do you think Delta has any interest in buying Airtran? We fly to all the same places so I dont see the benefit, but if I were calling the shots I would do anything to keep Southwest out of ATL. What that worth?

Why would an ASA or Skywest be any different than Alaska or Continental?

Nope, didn't work too well many years ago. Times have and are changing.

That is job protection on the regional side. There is no doubt about that. The more you serve the safer you are, exhibit A: ExpressJet.

Fair enough. It is business. But unless I've majorily missed something, I believe we are not asking your union to limit you but our company to limit DCI. Keep in mind our union negotiates with Delta Air Lines, your union does not.

It is going to get more complex as we watch the Republic issue unfold. Jerry is watching that one closely. Ironically, by limiting the regionals, you will probably create some competitors with far lower costs.

Time had passed in the early 1990s I think. However, its apparent that there is something behind the scenes with RAH-DAL. It could be a simple the enemy of my enemy is my friend or something to do with assets once belonging to LCC or something else or all of the above.

However, RAH was accused by many of being a hoar and flying for anybody back in the mid 2000s when in reality they were doing what you now want ASA to do. The problem is RAH has always had a mind of its own and developed tenacles long ago, I'm not positive that any other DCI has done so. Therefore creating their own airline with high CASM jets would be a welcome sight to a lot of people if you catch my drift.

YO! Beer, you working? Whens the last time you flew? I think at the earliest for me it'll be 19 days between my last flight and possibly the next, we'll see.

I don't think we could ever merge AirTran and get that passed the DOJ. To keep SWA out of ATL you just have to make them miserable and they know we'd create a price war with them wherever they went and they know it wouldn't be a problem for us. It wasn't a problem with B6's short stay in ATL. It'd also be fun I think to do but SWA lives in the haze of travel bookings and a direct price comparison would not be something they want.

Besides I'm hearing that while they're ramping up DEN they're not making money out there. SLC didn't work out great for them either. But they're desperate enough to go after LGA and DCA. I'm surprised they don't go to Macon or something.

Classic. I say put it on BBC or Al Jazera. Oh wait, we get the cheapo version. On the cheapest version of Dish Fox is available but CNN et al is not.

I'd take BBC over any piece of crap news network we have here in the USA. Fox news is one of the biggest wastes of time I've ever seen. I could learn more by counting the dust bunnies on my ceiling fan.

IDK, but it burns my britches when I walk on a 319/320 that has good external power hooked up, and the APU is still running.

I remember in MSP last month or so we were parked on F... surrounded by "north" airplanes. We were the only one that didn't have our APU on...

Do people leave the airplane with the APU running?

No offense to DTW, but man if I left that airplane with the APU running and it caught fire there wasn't anyone to be seen on that ramp anywhere to go pull the fire handle in the tail.
