Allegiant's been buying up the -81's for parts. I think they're up to 6 or 7. They buy them for lord knows how little, fly them into Kingman and then break them up.

The Forecast Staffing report on the Crew Resources page shows that in Feb. '11 the company will require 40 7ER Capts and 51 7ER F/O's in SLC. The balance are 767 Domestic.

So for those of you unfortunate wretches who endured the spool up and wind down of the CVG 7ER category, what does that mean to those who are converted early? They must be planning on completing the T.O.E.'s by spring '11... will this mean reserve for those stuck on the "bottom" of the half-converted ER category over the holidays?

I'm slated to go to training in November based on an award on the last AE. Who can I contact regarding getting the training pushed back?

FWIW Feb 2011 would be half way though the conversion of the 767 to the ER so the staffing makes sense.

Looking at JAL's reorganization plan there are going to be lots of 744's available.

JAL submits plan to emerge from bankruptcy - MarketWatch

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Japan Airlines Corp. on Tuesday submitted a bankruptcy-emergence plan to a Tokyo court, according to The Wall Street Journal. The carrier plans to refinance its current debt of about 300 billion yen by the end of March, cut its workforce by about 16,000 to around 32,600 and scrap 49 unprofitable routes, the newspaper said. Elsewhere, Reuters reported JAL will retire 103 aircraft, including all Boeing 747-400s, Airbus 300-600s, MD-81s and MD-90s. The current fleet is 258. JAL's profit is expected to improve to 117.5 billion yen in the fiscal year through March, 2013, with revenue down 15% to 1.273 trillion yen, the Journal said. JAL last year was the center of a tug-of-war between AMR Corp.'s American Airlines and Delta Airlines , both of which sought its partnership to obtain a bigger foothold in Asia.

FWIW they have 36 744's

i do buy rounds even though I don't drink yet, but, you'll have to order. not sure I'll get it right.

I'm buying your book, and I'm going to watch you on the 7th and if I could be so rude to ask, can you flash the APCF gahng symbol? Or say "carl spackler"?

On rj's they have this very wonderful invention called an intercom and since the guy can hear you while they're making a PA you can keep saying over and over "don't say ****, don't say ****"

oh its great. so just imagine 80 in your ear saying "dont say carl, dont say carl..."

What about the possibility of A320s???? Any of those out there? From a passenger stand point I like the cabin much more than any other narrow body.
