True. Delta wanted Airtran to merge with Midwest. Not only would have it given them an out to relieve pressure in ATL, but an Airtran preoccupied with digesting a merger would have made a soft target to take advantage of.

Correct. We will just have to either given them MKE or kill 'em with tough competition.

I have looked at all the scope sections on DALPA's contracts from 96. I can't find a single thing about 30 percent ownership. The buyout by TPG capital was approved 16 Aug 2007. Delta was not involved in any way shape or form in the buyout. They were also not involved with NWA at the time. They supplied no cash and DALPA made no changes in any scope section. I can't speak for what may have happened at NWA but your facts are very wrong.

DALPA doesn't care about any other pilot group...They don't care about Midwest, and they didn't care about ASA or CMR....They only care about themselves....

Sorry I don't see it that way.
The union is set up so that individual MEC's are working with their managements to raise/hold the bar.
If yours stopped doing that - recall them and stop blaming Delta.
