The Security Council had a very strongly worded resolution. I was shocked at the verbiage:

The U.N. Security Council authorized a no-fly zone over Libya and called for Arab states and others to use "all necessary measures" to protect civilians from attacks by Moammar Gadhafi's forces.

On a side note, never thought I would see the day that the UN Security Council used language stronger than the union representing my interests. :D

Earlier, French Prime Minister Francois Fillon said on France-2 Television that "time is of the essence" and that France would support military action against Gadhafi within a matter of hours if the Security Council approves the resolution.
