I know, right? Stupid unreliable DALPA forum rumors.
Quote: it's techncally fat.

somehow, we are all attracted to fat bags hanging from a womans chest.

and i'm a okay with that.

p.s. not 100% sure I'm correct on the fat comment.
Or as "DICE-MAN" would say for the other coveted part of the opposite sex, "Two lumps of flesh that $ H ! T tumbles out of, OHHH!!!"

Quote: "Reserve: Ability to pick up additional on-call days for increased reserve guarantee."

isn't this the same idea as selling your vacation?

FTB,

I don't think so. Right now you can fly on off days via slips - you can not do this with vacation - and I hope this does not change.

With our current reserve system what happens if you are the only reserve pilot available and you are about to max out via the ALV? If the available trip puts you over the ALV are you ineligible for the trip?

It seems to me letting reserve guys fly above the ALV as an option is similar to letting line holders W/S and G/S. It would be nice if this was strictly on an optional basis - I think allowing the company assign guys to ALV + 15 may adversely affect G/S availability.

Alright, this has got to be Herman's wife posting as Dalfa. Hey guys, if we're not nice to her she may stop posting pics like this AND she may cancel Herman's cable. No more military channel while sitting reserve for him. Proper CRM says we adopt a cat and name it Dalfa. I think I know where to get some milk for the kitten......

You're right. Thanks for the heads up.

Quote: I was on a hotel bus today and overheard a conversation between a regional guy and a fairly senior looking wide body FO. This FO did not know if we were hiring or furloughing, and also didn't know when our contract was amendable. Pretty sure this guy is either an easy yes vote on anything, or not even going to vote. It's hard for me to imagine how one could be so unaware. I hope there aren't many like that, but I fear otherwise.
Quote: In a way, I really admire these guys. I come on here almost every day to read the same crap from the same guys, and it gets really really old. I guess sometimes it is worth it because I occasionally (it is more and more rare however) find that nugget of information that drew me here in the first place. But for those of you.. and you know who you are... we get it. This is ALPA's last chance. If we don't get total restoration, you're voting no. You're tired of the FPL... you're voting no....... blah blah blah.......
I just can't imagine how you could admire that trait in any person. Much less an employee who is unaware of what is happening in his/her own company. I guess there are some who just don't need to care because of their own personal finances or work ethic, but it's hardly something to be "admired" IMO.

Quote: And then there are those guys that you talk about.

They come to work. They do their job. They have remained moderately senior for QOL..... Then they go home to their families and forget all about Delta until time to go back to work. (One on my new hire classmates is still a 73FO, and has probably never been on any of these pathetic web boards) Good for them. Many of them probably live well within their means. They might be a little upset about things while at work, but like presidential politics, they realize that they have one vote and that vote for the most part truly is meaningless.
That level of negativism actually plays into the hands of those with bad motives. The Lorenzo's and Icahn's of our dysfunctional industry would never have been toppled if pilots had that attitude.

I know this shouldn't be a surprise to me given your description of yourself above your avatar: "No Longer Cares", but I hope everyone else realizes that every vote matters. With just a few votes different, Al Gore would have been in the oval office.
