Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
One thing to look at though, is Delta directly and indirectly employs a lot of people. It's probably at least somewhere between 250-500K, maybe more. In this economy Delta is "Too Big To Fail", they don't have to put a lot of money on the table to get the NMB to side with them. I think if Delta puts up a lot of cash for scope relief, strictly from a business decision standpoint, DALPA would be inclined to take the deal.
In other words, you may not have the opportunity to vote for a contract that doesn't have scope relief. Which, faced with perpetual negotiations vs significant pay increases for a lot of pilots nearing the end of their career, makes a recipe for disaster. Also Delta has 400+ management pilots, these people have a lot of influence, even if you think they don't.

Seems like every one of you RJ guys say: "I'm not a lifer" and "I don't want you guys to give up more scope". Yet when it comes to us fighting to do what you've expressly asked us to do, you post this kind of drivel that sounds like something directly from a management cubicle.
Un-freakin-real.

This post really irritates me. You and many other RJ guys used to be regular posters calling us major pilots greedy bastards for selling scope to line our own pockets. Now you come here and post this? Seriously? So if we were all stupid enough to buy in to Mesabah's attempt to make us think we're in a no-win situation, we sell more scope...then you come back and screech at us for ruining your life...again?

File under the category of general contract outlook:
My wife and I are celebrating our 15th anniversary and going to see Snow Patrol in concert in Vegas this weekend. On their new CD, they have a song titled "Symphony." The key lyric in the song is "If this is all you ever ask for, this is all you'll ever get." Seems germane.

Oh great - a JV with Lufthansa now???

Scoop
emailed my reps stating I was disappointed with the NNP and thought it was concessionary, and any reduction in pilots required (as the reserve rules in NNP seem to indicate) would be "No" from me. All three emailed me back with several paragraphs, well thought out and not cookie-cutter, telling me they agreed and to wait for the rest which would modify what I was seeing. One of them, the Capt rep, stated he did not agree it looked or was concessionary.
In any case, I was impressed with their fast and personal responses, and their thanks for giving them my opinion. Recommend you grab your reps emails from the Alpa website and zap them a quick email with your opinion/concerns, to make sure they are hearing their constituents.

I'm waiting just because I want to see it all rolled together. Doesn't mean I'm a yes vote, but I would like to see it all together.
the apcf secret handshake as demonstrated by young 80ktsclamping:

serious, refined, professional.

I had a good response/gif, but I'd better not. I'm still infraction-free.
But it was really good.

Any ATL LEC meeting feedback? Bueller? Bueller?
