Poolies and new guys come to this thread excited to see what’s happening with hiring at Delta. Stop killing their excitement by griping about the union. Griping has its place but good grief, what a buzz kill. I usually come over to this thread to escape the negativity of the other threads but we somehow managed to ruin this one too.

Agreed. We should move the union beating to another thread. So there is a big AE planned for Mar/Apr. Once the results are posted, we have a list of unfilled vacancies available for new hires.

That’s what the head of crew resources said in his Q&A video.

Well they better get the training dept in board because at this rate they are only on track to hire 450. Been running classes of less than 15 only 3 weeks a month

I believe Bob said a lot of the hiring over the next 12 months would be back loaded (bigger classes this time next year).

I think he said we ramp up for next summer with increases in hiring after April.

Only 500 planned for 2019.

FogSkier 02-19-2019 07:50 AM

This forum has mentioned 500 for 2019 and 750 between now and next March.

Already Hired 80 or so so that leaves 420ish in 2019 and then another 280 before March.

That’s an average of 45 a month for the rest of 2019 and then 90 per month in 1Q 2020.

Seems to jive with what has happened in classes and well within training capacity.

Which seems to change monthly as some guys decide to go earlier than 65.
