Buzzpat has the right of it. I'm glad I stayed at the Hilton, was easier to rest and feel ready. Plus it's the closest in case the van breaks down.

Hilton, Courtyard and Residence Inn (free breakfast + dinner Mon-Thu). All great choices - easy walk, no shuttle.

It's also in the SSP agreement that any pilot participating in the SSP will meet Delta minimum hiring requirements, but somehow pilots are getting hired through the SSP with nothing more than a high school diploma.

Has this been verified? I asked the an ALPA rep and he didn't know anything about it. (I know big surprise to most). Anyway I don't know how the company could have two sets of hiring mins for the same hiring cycle.

Renaissance, no question, is King. Especially if you're a Marriott Gold+. Just as close, use the back gate.

Trivia: featured in the movie "Flight"

Congrats to all that are getting interviews! I was told that invites were sent out on Friday's. Seem like some on here may be getting them mid week as well. Is this correct?

Yes. I know several names of guys hired without it. Gotta love the double standard and the slap in the face to all those who worked so hard to make the known qualifications.

Correct. I know of a couple of guys that have gotten the invite on a Monday and a Tues. Both towards close of business EST.

Yes. I asked one of our pilots who is doing some of the interviews. I don't think a lot of our pilots realize how bad the type of guy that pays a scab to fly in the right seat of a Beech 1900 for an opportunity to get a job at Pinnacle is. These guys are all about themselves and will take any shortcut to get there as fast as possible. Pinnacle is full of these guys and they get to jump the line. It has already been confirmed that we have offered conditional employment to pilots that have social and confidence issues. It is what it is. I guess in the long run, we will just be a domestic feeder to the foreign wide body carriers anyhow.
