Explains the slow-down. Mid-Oct folks were told January and will clearly be February for most. November folks who were told February better plan accordingly.

Ok, the SSP folks have been waiting a lot longer and things are moving quicker than last year...so what's the problem?

When you say "waiting a lot longer", I just want to clarify that it is not by their choice. The deal with the SSP folks is sort of a metering loss for 9E. There is a minimum number per year (that is the benefit for the pilots), but Endeavor and Delta determines when (how many per month, not to exceed a % of the class) that number vacate the premises.

As annoying as it is for the off-the-street poolies, trust me when I say it is even more annoying for the successful SSP interviewees. They are in their own 'pool' with less exit regularity than the off-the-street pool.

Uh, no complaining going on, just stating facts.

Machnumber 12-15-2016 05:38 PM

What day of the week do they normally send out the class invite email?

It is a email correct? Or is it a letter in the mail?

FrankSavage 12-16-2016 02:43 PM

I believe emails on Mondays is the latest trend. First thing in the AM.

Machnumber 12-19-2016 06:36 AM

Anybody get a 1/23 invite yet? Or anyone know how far in advance they normally send the invite emails out?

Thanks

I'm sure someone has had a similar scenario - my airline apps expires on December 31. I start class January 3. Am I going to need to renew for 3 days, or do I need to not worry about it, or should I email BB/pilot selection and let them know? Thanks!

My app expired in August of 15. I classed up in Jan 16. No issues if you are in the pool.

Good luck and welcome.
