Instructordude is in fact a troll from FI. Wasn't witty there, isn't witty here.

I personally am a permanent no voter that will never fill out another survey, but I really did believe at a minimum, this TA would raise our wages more than C2012 did. There are concessions in there related to sick leave and the JV that even I didn't see coming. I also didn't see the profit sharing hit being as big as it was. I figured another 2 percent like C2012. Is it really as bad as it seems? Is there any chance of this being the first TA ever voted down at Delta?

Based on the pilots I have talked with and my personal feelings on the TA I don't think it will ratify. If the company changed the 1 Jan raise to 8% and altered the LCA trip issue I think it would easily ratify. As currently structured it will fail to ratify. For 50 million more a year the company could have had the deal signed and delivered. In this case I think they have gambled a little to much.

The TA sick leave grab was also a massive overreach-around.

I agree with this but believe a modification to the JV agreement and allowing pilots the dignity of keeping their medical records private would also be needed.

I'll take your prediction and raise you one. I think the MEC admin internal polling is reflecting what you just said. As such, I think we'll have another hastily called special MEC meeting to show a revised TA before this one gets voted on. This is a purely opinion based prediction.

It's crazy how much flightinfo has become a ghost town due to types like that.

Haha, that gif made me laugh. Thanks for keeping the airwaves clear for more intelligent conversation.

Idk because I haven't been flying and even if I had been it's not any better an indicator then this website. That said. When you see some of the people lining up against this thing that voted yes in 2012 it makes you think this will not pass. But, we'll see.

The important thing is to not let our guard down. Each and every one of us needs to vote no and carry copies of this succinct, well written letter above (along with part II when it comes out). Pass it out. Have a friendly conversation about what's really in this TA.
