Default Donatelli is embarrassing

Just left the msp roadshow and I got a lot out of it. I was impressed with the negotiating committee's professionalism and knowledge of everything. I'm actually still on the fence for my vote.

But my god, Donatelli is a joke. It's my first time seeing him and I found him totally unprofessional. He's an awful speaker and he talks down to the pilots he represents and he even yelled at one of them today who basically just stated that he wished the contract had more to offer.

Donatelli may be a smart guy, I don't know, but he definitely needs to leave the speaking and question answering to the negotiating committee.

If his communication and interpersonal skills are so lacking, it opens up the possibility that those working under his supervision may not have achieved everything they were capable of.

Let's send it back and try with some new leadership.

That we can agree on!

Have you read any of the Con papers put out my the Reps that voted "NO" on sending this to TA out to MEMRAT? Your vote is obviously your choice but do yourself a favor and read C01's Perspective on the TA and C20's Perspective on the TA - they are EYE-OPENING and the Roadshows do not discuss any of the Cons of this TA. If you have not already done this it will give you a good counterpoint to what you hear at the Roadshows.

Sounds like the same MD I knew years ago. They say a leopard can't change its spots.

That should speak volumes on why we are even voting on this thing. There are other sources that provide a balanced look at this thing other than the DALPA sales job. The TA language itself should be all you need to get off the fence.

Go to the DALPA website and log in, you'll have to do that to vote anyway.

But before you vote, read the actual TA language, where the changes are in red. Pay particular attention to the new JV Scope Block Hour changes, and the removal of Virgin Atlantic's flying, and then go look over the LCA 75% trip pulls, and the changes to how the profit sharing will be calculated, where Management's bonuses are excluded prior to the PTIX calculations, and read the changes to the sick leave verification.

Then read the CON papers put out by the NYC Capt. Rep and the CVG F/O Rep.

That should push you right off the fence onto the "Are you kidding me?" side!

The C001 has a good pro/con "the good, the bad, and the ugly". Give them all a look.

Ed,
To tag onto what Timbo and Qball said, there are so many hidden gotchas that serve to reduce your pay, progression and QOL, I actually think this TA is cost positive to the company. Not worth $350M per year, instead a negative number...really.

Thanks for that reminder, yes, the C001 paper is excellent too. Check it out at www.TAFACTS.com

Ed. I'd like to say I don't care how you vote, but I do care.
I don't think DALPA is an honest broker of information on this TA as it is their baby and they clearly are pushing a yes on this thing... despite our leaders PLEDGE of no sales job.

Read the TA language, access the con side that DALPA refuses to show you, and then vote as you see fit.

I will admit that I am biased....I only have 5 years left here and I would like to see a TA that will rebuild Delta to something close to what this profession used to be for the sake of the guys coming up. We have given away so much over the years, lets not give this away for the sake of a token pay raise. Look beyond that... there are lots of grenades buried in this thing that will affect the QOL of all of us.

It's not the money...IT'S THE CONCESSIONS STUPID! (slogan...not calling you stupid Ed)
