Understanding who the messenger works for helps one understand the message.

The professional thing to do was to let him finish his presentation. It would have been a moot conversation anyway, but I think this was important for us to witness firsthand. A lot of pilots still dont know he sits on the company side of the negotiating table.

It's actually a great opportunity for the line pilots to show their resolve and ask him the tough questions, like, "How's YOUR retirement plan funding?", and, "When are you going to RESTORE OUR RETIREMENT FUNDING?", and, "Why should we give away profit sharing, BEFORE you have RESTORED us to our pre-bankruptcy pay rates and retirement funding?"

I wonder what you get for a retirement package as VP of flight ops? Didn't Cal's super duper super scab Debby McCoy get $10M package? That was what I thought I heard.

Ask about executive stock options while you're at it. They hand them out like candy on Halloween.

SD has his golden ticket, he will never go back to the line. He is just a company lawyer that happens to fly once in a while for photo ops.

While I completely disagree with his take on this stuff, I've flown with him, and he's a very sharp pilot.

How bout when you get as much time on the line as him, you qualify for a company funded pension.

Well JG was running the SLC road show and the first 30 minutes were about the TA. Same as the LA stuff. He said they are just trying to do the right thing by taking the value of the abuse and inefficiencies out of our current TA and distributing that value to all the pilots so not just a few get the benefit. I thought I was in a DALPA road show about the TA.....sounded exactly like the TA roadshows.

He doesn't believe this stuff if he's a sharp guy. It's like the beatings will continue until morale improves.
