Our contract admin folks are well-meaning. But they are holdovers from the Moakist regime. The current CA chair is, frankly, a bit of a weenie.
He is forever attempting to defend potential issues from the company's standpoint. He and the vice chairman are not the guys we need as things turn combative.
To quote Michael Corleone: he's not a wartime consigliere.
Recommend touching base with your reps (and reps elect), and even emailing John Malone. Let's get a hammer in place in contract admin NOW. We've got a deep bench. Let's tap into it. It's time to purge the constructive appeasement gang.

KW was great at filing grievances and maintaining a large backlog of unresolved grievances so he could maintain his little empire at the ALPA trough. He's great at telling half truths, deflection, and being a political hack for those that would keep him in power. It's the winning part that he lacked and it showed in spectacular form.
