Ed, do you believe the concessions the Delta pilots took in bankruptcy are still necessary?

Ed, do you believe it is fair and consistent with this history of our company that your compensation is up over 900% since Chapter 11 and the Delta pilots need a 18% hourly increase to hit rates that are 12 years old with no accounting for inflation?

Ed, do you think it is fair for Delta pilots to be away from their families on a 30 hour layover and not get paid?

United min day 5 hours

American 5:10 hours

Alaska 5:00 hours

Delta 0:00 hours

American does not have a true min day.... It is an average duty day. At least that's how it was while I was on the US Airways side last year. It's even worse because on a 30hr layover you have no duty so no pay/credit. There were some 11-12hr credit 3-days.

I'd like to "Ask Ed" if he's sleeping better now that he's got another condo, and the pilots still don't have a retirement plan.

Pretty sure we are getting 5+15 per day now under our Average Daily Guarantee provision. Haven't seen a less than 15+45 (i.e., Bogota) 3 day in a long while. Ergo, you are getting at least 5+15 for that day in the hotel unlike the past.

I think his point is that we should be getting a 5:15 daily guarantee versus a 5:15 "average" daily guarantee.

Make it 6:00/day guarantee and I'm bidding captain. I also think that would solve all the unproductive time.

5:15 min day seems like it is a no-cost proposition that would help everybody. Instead of a 4 day trip that is 7 hours of block on day 1, 2, and 4 with a 30 hour layover on day 3 paying 21:00 it would pay 26:45. The company would hate that much credit so scheduling would figure out how to make us fly for 5:15 hours on day 3 instead of sitting in LFT. Seems like an even trade to me, company gets more productivity and I have to work fewer days to reach the ALV. I'm all for flying 3 busy trips instead of 4 inefficient ones to fill up each month.
