ICED
Due to revisits on agreed upon sections of the contract and a proposal to up our ask from our prior table position the NMB has sided with the company and is placing our mediation in a holding status. They will devote the assets being used to other pending contracts. JM asked for and received permission to continue talks on several sections near completion prior to a complete shutdown of talks. This is anticipated to be a long term suspension. The MEC has remained in special session because of this development however as of now has no plan going forward.

Nice first post. Maybe "clearedtoFUD" would be a better screen name.
The company needs a deal more than we do. They'll want to meet without the mediator. |

Do I hear the sound of backpacks hitting the ground?
Or is that the sound of the money train screeching to a halt? I wonder who's going to be picking up extra flying once this goes public? J. D. Who? |

Talk to your reps there will be more news to follow next week.

Ok, message received.
There was never a deal coming together, just stalling to get us through the summer. |

If there is a delay, that hurts the company just as much. They have wants and ultimately need a deal as well. When more and more new hires leave for better training pay, overall pay, and equipment that'll maybe open the company's eyes. Flt Ops has stated they want 540 new hires between July and October...they won't get within 10% of that number. 170 M88/90 FOs in NYC.....yeah..they'll get real close to fill in that up. |

the only thing that will get iced is...

Let me get this straight. We agreed to conessions thinking pay would make up for it? Their pay proposal was a low ball offer. We then reopen our agreed upon concessions once it became apparent pay would not make up for it and we get iced? Section 3 should be negotiated first so we know where we stand.

guess thats what memrat is for?

Fortunately during that time the Industry made a huge change in our favor. Awesome. The company screwed up by dragging its feet. I hope this development is true. |

So they are icing us because of talks of upping out ask? Bravo, bravo... excellent agenda crap post. So much clarity, detail, and clear lack of butthurt bias from your utter failure last year. You forgot to include "Bartels" "Lewis" and "pack of flying monkeys," by the way.

I sincerely hope this is true.
The sooner we stop worrying about the NMB the better off we will be. Backpacks off. |
I call BS. The mediators would have had to give permission for the union to publish the section 3 proposal because the were not happy with DAL and now they are parking us?

Bingo. It's funny how these dingleberries come up with a different screen name each time they want to feel more relevant... |
It's casual to the most obvious observer that Mr Push is a mgt troll
|
Lame post, troll!
|
Yep. This was a trial balloon to see if we would panic.
I suspect we won't see any more posts from clearedtoFUD. |
this is unfamiliar and intimidating territory for the imbedded alpa brain trust.
i suppose some hysteria was to be expected. thankfully membership is still the final arbiter of whatever is produced. |
It sounds like we were headed for another failed TA. Hopefully this is true.
|
Last official comm from the NC was that we have entered the final phase of negotiations.

Iced, iced, baby! Stop collaborate and listen. Iced is back with a brand new addition...if this TA happens and it fails, Alpa will not be back and replaced with a brand new addition.... Iced, iced baby |
Beats the alternative. We were on a fast track to more concessions and another TA failure.

Was this guy a management plant or a bitter former Moakist trougher?
Impossible to tell. They both have the same talking points. |
Now we know why Richard dumped a boat load of DAL stock this week.....
|
It seems doubtful that these are the current conditions.
Malone has been trying to keep the process moving and bringing the pilots along. In that effort, it would be suddenly out of character to take such steps and not inform the pilots. The reps would likely be rushing to their SM outlets to get this stalemate scenario out to the public, as well. We should see what progress, if any, is made by the MEC when they reconvene. |

For just a second I had hoped this rumor was true and that our negotiators actually went back and fought for us instead of just giving something to get something. Sad. |

It is??? Seems like negotiations knock out the easy stuff first and save money issues till the end where they beat each other over the head with costing models and revenue projections.
At which point they try and justify what they've done for how little they did it for. If they did the money first, when they get to other sections they could just say, sorry you didn't pay us enough for that concession. We are happy to up the cash and discuss it. |

None of the contract sections exist in a vacuum. Bottom line I think agreeing to anything ahead of time ties your hands later in negotiations. |

I find it hard to believe that NMB would "side with the company" under the circumstances. The NMB reportedly supported or even encouraged SWAPA to do exactly what is reported here. Do we need the NMB's permission to talk to the company outside of mediation? I thought we could do that whenever we wanted. If its true the company is walking away it is time to turn up the publicity heat. |
