Default If We Accepted SWA PWA

We would instantly need more than 8000 more pilots.

PBS

15% job loss over 2000 Delta pilots. No PBS at SWA.

DCI SCOPE

The Delta regionals perform over 50% of our domestic departures. Jobs lost over 4000.

JV SCOPE

Absent the JVs we would have a widebody fleet similar to UAL and American. Over 2000 more widebody jobs.

VACATION

SWA has trips touching vacation. Easily double ours. Over 1500 jobs.

Anyone trying to say the SWA deal would result in less jobs at Delta is out to lunch and then some.

SW has 600 airframes and 8200 pilots. Delta 825 airframes and 13,500 pilots. We should exceed 14,000 in Jan.

Widebodies require greater staffing in most cases.

We have 14 fleets.

Let's drop PBS and have their trips touching vacation. That would require less pilot right Sailing? I'm all for that concession.

Why don't you ask Ed?

Not to worry. The new alpa 'Scope Expert' VP position will fix that. At least the 6000 DCI and JV jobs you speak of. Another alpa expert to tell the MEC reps not to listen to their constituents.

Would be nice to see a pilot count comparison between the two 737 fleets only.

So says you. Total strawman Jerry. You have zero data to back up this claim, and you discount way too much besides that. More DPA cheerleading.

Anybody that buys into your tripe will bet the farm on Vanderbilt winning the SEC east.

Delta has 544 narrow body aircraft 737 or smaller staffed by 7509 pilots including sick, ins and mil leave.
SWA has 600 aircraft staffed by 8200 pilots including the above.
Delta 13.8 crews per airframe
SWA. 13.6 crews per airframe

Delta is critically short on narrow body FO's and by the end of JAN we will be staffed above 14 crews per airframe with the planned hiring.

Tripe vs tripe?:

"SW has 600 airframes and 8200 pilots. Delta 825 airframes and 13,500 pilots. We should exceed 14,000 in Jan."
