Just keep in mind that you have to have a confirmed boarding pass to enter a Skyclub. A seat request won't cut it.

The sky club rules for employees do not require a confirmed seat. Seat request is sufficient if you have a sky club membership.

Skyclub?

That's not true at all. I go in with a non rev seat request card every single time and the amex platinum card. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Also remember that the AMEX Platinum Travel Card not only gets you into the SkyClub (with merely a seat request) and Priority Clubs but it also credits you back up to $200 a year in designated travel expenses on your selected airline plus "comps" you for the Global Entry enrollment/renewal fee.
You could bring your spouse, girlfriend (preferably not together but hey...whatever works 😆) or your favorite commuting/DH'ing F/O up with you and AMEX will rebate their $29 day pass. Also, you can grab an adult beverage while in your highly coveted middle seat (last row by the lav) and AMEX will rebate the $8 back. It also rebates you our $50 annual pass fee. All-in-all, not a bad card for a commuter. |
