Primarily MD88 or 717. A very small number of 737 and 767.

For those domiciled @ ATL, is it possible to escape the humidity by going north, and if so how far do you have to go before you reach something that an average American might considerable comfortable. Please don't answer CVG .

You can get up in the mountains and be within the 2 hour ring for shortcall. Much cooler in the summer. I think you said you had kids in school. If your looking now that forces you into PTC or some of the N Atlanta areas. Speaking from experience if I had to do it over again schools within walking distance of my home would be a priority. PTC is the best place for that.

True, PTC is nice due to its proximity to the airport and the family friendly environment. He was asking about humidity and I almost laughed. The dehumidifier runs in my garage from April to mid September continuously. Anywhere in the south can have days of wicked humidity through Thanksgiving.

Don't write off Newnan either. It's just about the same to the airport time wise since it's right off of 85. It isn't the Newnan of 20+'years ago. More options for food/shopping than PTC.

All depends what you're looking for. We rented for about 6 months in PTC when we first moved here to test it out. It's very nice, but not everyone's cup of tea. The schools have been great though in our experience.

Take it from a long time commuter, bite the bullet and move to delta base housing.
