Probably something like that with Ed in JM's top five. Hope they can push harder than last summer!

It's a fact that Delta leases slots from RAH on the east coast. The terms of the agreement are filed under seal with the bankruptcy court. I can tell you it was part of the A&R slot swap deal Delta did a few years back with the DOT.

Why take a jab at him? I don't know if I'd say they are really really smart. I'd say they're really really crafty. If Delta needs the lift, Delta pilots would be more than happy to fly them. So would a host of current RJ drivers (they'd love to fly them on our list).
This move makes absolutely zero sense in this environment. So we give RJs this round...... Give some A330s away next round to recapture scope that RJs can't cover?

Let's discuss this a bit. The way I see this at this particular time, there will be a reduction of 50 seat airframes sooner and an increase in fewer albeit larger airframes. There's a quid pro quo there. The next move won't have one as far as I can see. What do you think it will be?
I can go either way on this to be honest. But I really don't see the current deal as anything to get my panties bunched. But going forward, what would be our incentive to allow larger/heavier RJs that you allege management would want? I think you are being a little paranoid about that frankly. I don't believe that the 'gap' that is filled by the 76s will be able to be filled by any larger airframes in the future because bigger with less frequency is not a real advantage.

Agreed. I'm all for scope, but if Delta wants up to fifty more 76 seaters and they will get rid all the 50 seaters and have an overall reduction in seats flown at the connection carriers then I'm all for it. Especially since they will be tied to mainline block hour ratios. Seems like a win win. We get bigger pay raises and they get a few more RJ's. In an ideal world they would all be flown at mainline, but that's not happening yet. I would certainly rather have a TA that will pay me $3500 - $4000 more per month and let them have a few more RJ's then get nothing! If any of you guys were to say you'd give up that kind of money for a few more RJ's that will have no effect on your career you're not be honest with yourself.
