This might be a matter of terminology. Scheduling disputes were considered grievances at NWA, whereas at DAL they are not.

When you had a scheduling issue at NWA, you were told by Contract Admin to "put in a sheet", and that began the grievance process.

At DAL you do essentially the same thing, except there is no form, and someone in the Scheduling Committee takes down your information.

In both systems, they go into a pile, and are eventually worked out with the company. Both systems produce the same result with albeit a slightly different philosophy.

Astute observation, Nu. One thing there does not equal another here.

You win! It will only be great "again" if we elect those we tossed. At least for them.

This. I've had a few disputes at Delta. I write an e-mail to the scheduling comittee, get a case number, and either never hear anything again or get an e-mail 6-12 months later telling me I'm getting paid a few hours for something I can't remember. Always told that they are really backed up. We might not officially call them grievances, but they are exactly what the majority of the open grievances at Northwest were. They almost always have to do with reroutes or IROPS.

Hey guys, this airing out that there are more ways to skin a cat than just one doesn't follow N/S divisive line that the likes of rube likes to take.

He's got some deposed unionoid political pandering to do, and you're getting in the way of it!

I'll give it less than a year before these snakes itching for their gravy train back put Bartels up for recall. Their egos need to be fed... after all, they are smarter than you.

That's a bit personal. Aren't you a moderator? How could I reasonably expect you to, you know, act with moderation?

And how could I put Bartels up for recall? I'm not a rep. He's your messiah, so you get to play defense for a while.

I'm going to assume he is allowed to share his opinions just like everyone else. Now if you go all curly or mullis up in here eventually you get the ban hammer. 80's been upfront about his positions and has even publicly apologizes when wrong. I see nothing wrong here.

I have my opinions but know how to call balls and strikes. I've bee chided as being a company management plant as well as a DPA backer by hardliners on both sides. I'd say we've found a pretty balanced environment here.

I've said it before- perhaps this time you can finally listen: I preferred Malone (his get a contract in 1 term and bow out promise irked me, though) but will accept this outcome and support my MEC. I do see the political snakes coming out of the woodwork trying to undermine any progress, unfortunately.
