Default Daily Departures

I saw a graph in one of the resources news letters recently that showed projected daily departures by base and category expected for this summer vs last summer. I noticed DTW is down huge for projected daily departures, in particular, DTW A320 going from 50 to 23 and 7ER going from 32-22. The only real grower is 717 from 33 to 53. Is there something going on that I'm missing? Are they cutting back at DTW in general?

I would not be posting internal company docs that could be construed as proprietary on public websites.

In order to access that doc you need to login to DLNET so no harm done.

Mods should delete this thread to protect the poster. The link is working without being on Delta net.

It's a good discussion, just delete the specifics and the link.

Reloaded my browser and the link does require a log in so should be fine.

I figured it would require a login, if not, please delete mods.

Looks like the A320 category is down almost everywhere but NYC. I don't see how that works out considering all the A321 deliveries.

I know we are planning on retiring some of the older 319s/320s.. maybe this projection accounts for that?

My guess is you are seeing the narrow bodies moving to NYC to cover for the -88's which are being removed (mostly to ATL) due to the RNAV restrictions.
