Default Thanksgiving in OKC...?

Have an overnight coming up Oklahoma City for Thanksgiving. I've never been there. Anybody know some good places to eat that day. We are staying just north of the airport and just west of the city. I want to pick a good place that the hotel van could take me and the crew to get a good home-cooked like meal. Thank you very much for your responses.

Holiday Inn on Meridian??

Um...yeah, Denny's comes to mind. I stayed up that way a few times before we got the hotel changed (it was nasty as hell). Not too much that I can recall.

To be honest, I haven't found a good place to eat in OKC yet. Hopefully you have better luck.

Not much is open on Thanksgiving. I was in PHX once, (maybe it was Xmas), but nothing was open and the line at Denny's was out the door. I ended up getting a sandwich at a 7-11.

I used to live right off Meridian. There isn't a restaurant in business that isn't off Meridian. So your challenge is going to be to find one that is open on Thanksgiving Day - not selection. There is one of those Furr's down around NW 63rd I think. Keeping going north on Meridian until you hit 63rd then turn east and go to May Ave. I am partial to Denny's though and will probably be having Thanksgiving dinner there myself.

Ah, now we are getting somewhere. Thank you very much USMCFLYR! Sounds like my quest to find a place will be at least feasible. Thanks again...

I have never had a good meal in the state of Oklahoma. This is not a typical Texan bashing OK here...it is the truth. Oklahoma is a sewer (ok, that was a typical Texan bashing OK).

I thought the story went that all of Oklahoma's sewer ran SOUTH and formed Texas and as for never having a good meal in OK; well...there are PLENTY O hardy boys in OK that would disagree with that assertion.

They win one football game and get arrogant. Again.

Truth is there are plenty of great places to eat. The Okies just don't tell Texans where they are. That way they leave sooner.
