Shorebird for grill your own steaks. Be a real pilot (a cheap a$$) and get the coupon out of the weekly paper and get 50% off lunch or dinner after 8 pm. Good salad bar also. Mee Korean BBQ 2 blocks from Kuhio beach is awesome for taking care of the post surf session hungries.

Moose McGillicuttys is OK for adult beverages. For a true dive bar go to Tsunamis on Kuhio or the Honolulu Tavern. Kalakaua has the better and pricier restaraunts, Kuhio is cheaper.

Duke's on Waikiki was pretty fun with good atmosphere.(haven't been there in almost 10 years, though)

Default Option B

The area around the back side of the Ala Moana Hotel is rather sporty,...from what I've been told.

Second that on Dukes, great place, Waikiki beach is nice but if you have time rent a jeep and go to North Shore, see the Dole Plantation, drive around and see the sights!
