Do flight benefits kick in while in training? Yes. Within the first day or two

Who manages the 401K? Answered. However, bear in mind you can'tcontribute to it until six months after hire. There is also a serious vesting time.

Does the company enroll you in CASS right away so you are able to Jumpseat while in training? Yes, but as someone else said, the company will positive space you home anytime you want when there are at least two days off.

More importantly, though, is you're entered into KCM right away...like day 2.

So, where is training, how long is new hire training, is there an abbreviated course for prior 121 guys and how is the training department?

Again-thanks in advance.
You will start out training in MSP, you will start out flying from either LGA or JFK.... You will likely be able to bid to ATL as FO fairly soon but as for captain, you should prepare for a long stint in New York, and assume MSP doesn't exist.... DTW will likely become the new MSP for ancient seniority soon. But word is ATL will be the largest base (even bigger than New York) so if that's what you want, that's what you can have. Maybe the next generation will get a chance at seeing SLC or westward again but short of the old Mesaba guys, west of DTW will be like the AVRO.... Back in the day....

Thanks for the input.

Update to the previous answers. I'm in new hire now, starting week 3 Monday. 34 folks in the class, roughly 22 in the 900 and 12 in the 200. Several of the 200 guys got alternate for DTW and ATL in the award that came out today. Looks like they could hold it in 3-4 months.

Btw, two of your cohorts are in my class. Both really good guys.

Also, it looks like the sims are being split between MSP and PHX.

Good luck!
