Default MSP how long would it be to get based there.

Thinking of applying to Endeavor and would like to know how long to get MSP out of training, and how long reserve would be there. I know it is difficult to say, just wanted some educated guesses. Thanks.

There is no good answer
Msp200 base closes next year
Msp900 base numbers will probably also change but no one
On this forum knows

I'll go ahead and disagree with my esteemed colleague. Do not come to Endeavor and expect to be based in MSP within 5 years. It is the most senior base and with over 100 pilots being displaced it is about to get even more senior.

I'd probably even wager that you're more likely to get hired at a major before you hold MSP here

If these guys were the soothsayers they think they are
They wouldn't be at a regional airline.

Thank you for your responses, I just thought that I might get to be based in MSP for part of my time at a regional as I own a home in MN.

Looks like the most Junior 900 line holder in MSP is about November 16 hire. Who knows what'll happen as the 200's draw down.

As a first officer it may be possible, but you will never see a captain seat in MSP. As was said earlier the MSP200 base is closing next summer and that will cause MSP900 to become more senior meaning even guys holding MSP right now are going to go elsewhere by next summer. The questions for FO movement are; will MSP900 remain as currently staffed, how many current FO's hold Delta CJO's, how many current FO's are willing to commute to upgrade, how many pilots already working here want MSP? Answers to those questions will tell you how long until a new hire can get there. I am guessing it will be a long time for a new hire today to get to MSP if they ever get there. Lots of speculation that the MSP900 base won't be around too much longer either, though for now the company is saying it will remain.

If being based in msp is a priority I suggest applying to Skywest. It's one of their more junior bases

Or Sun Country. It's their ONLY base.
