Bump

Hey guys and gals, Im close to heading to class and wondering what the most current numbers are. What are the current base seniority hire dates for first officers and captains? Also, how long are new guys sitting reserve in each of the bases? Thanks

CaptYoda 02-22-2018 03:09 PM

Assuming NYC will be the first stop for new-hires, how is the RSV utilization overall for FO's? Are they good about early release on the last day? Crash pad living can be brutal if you don't fly!

Thank you kindly. I hope this continues to be accurate in the future. As long as you don't want to be in MSP it looks like you don't have to wait too long for whatever you want in the other bases.

UNDGUY 03-05-2018 06:00 PM

Is there a gap in the seniority list at Endeavor where there was little to no hiring going on? I'm looking at the 07/08 hire dates for holding a line in ATL and DTW and wondering if that means its gonna take 10 years to hold a line there?

Yes only about 80 pilots hired 2009-2014. Which is currently what we are hiring in a month and a half...

flywithjohn 03-06-2018 08:08 PM

The last few classes have been 200 heavy with options for DTW, NYC and ATL. Reserve 90-150 days estimated. The 200 shutdown in MSP has allot of senior people jumping to the 900 and it is throwing off the reserve wait for the frame.

mexipilot84 03-07-2018 04:49 AM

What’s the latest on the most junior CA seniority? See all these awards for CA on pilots in class for prior 121.

Braniff DC8 03-07-2018 09:44 AM

Whoa

Are you being serious Mexi? You hammered me about SAir and told everyone how great it is but you’re looking at Endeavor now? REALLY?

What’s it to you. I hammered you because you had no good information to give. Don’t you have envoy stuff to worry about.

Anyway....

Now if a current 9E pilot can fill me on the new vacancy bid CA info I’d appreciate it. Curious to see how that came out with the new developments. Especially with how pilots have gotten upgrade awards in initial. Amazing to see how this place has flipped since it was pinnacolaba.

Braniff DC8 03-07-2018 02:38 PM

Ok

Mexipilot, pm sent. Good luck.

New hires have been awarded NYC 200CA. What developments are you referring to? This place is much different since the merger. Delta has come in and invested and overhauled flight ops. Best regional to work for currently imo.

Developments as in just the quick upgrades, pay, incentive pay etc. It is definitely not the same company I remember when everyone was bailing left and right years ago.

Pay and open-time pickups are contractual. Rates are on APC Endeavor profile page. Open time pickups are at a min 150%, sometimes 200% depending on how desperate they are. Min days off for reservists is 12 now. Personally feel we need some more growth or the Direct Entry Captain thing will come to an end. A lot of the 2016 hires will soon have their 1000 and will be able to upgrade, so those will get the spots that open up via attrition. But, there are several rumors about more 700's and possibly 175's so we shall see.

TalkTurkey 03-08-2018 07:34 AM

Yea and if you’re a CRJ200 pilot with a lot of days off and like to make money, you can easily bring home 10k a month. It’s nuts.

XtremeF150 03-09-2018 10:26 AM

Curious guys. Can someone tell me the ATL seniority situation with regards to New hired being based there and how long RSV would be there. Any Long call options at 9E?

I posted the seniority for all the bases earlier in this thread. 2-3 months to hold a line out of training in the 200 and close to a year on the 700/900. New hires on the 200 have got ATL in training. Long call reserve is currently being assigned to 15% of reserve pilots.

Thanks, I apologize I didn't scoure at all just posted while walking to the next destination but thanks for taking the time to answer.

HighFlight 03-09-2018 12:42 PM

It’s not exactly “scouring”, it’s simply on the previous page to where you posted.

Update for April

DTW 900 CA junior lineholder is now down to a 2014 hire.

ATL 900 CA junior lineholder is now a September 2015 hire

Atl went from a 07 to 2015 hire in a month for line holders? Wow

The number of lines went up quite a bit in ATL. DTW a little less but there were only a few captains there hired between 08 and 2014

24Whiskey 03-19-2018 07:08 AM

It’s a result of the spring/summer pickup in flying.

I would be wary if I were someone with that junior lineholder seniority. I imagine there are quite a few CA’s who are waiting to make a move to ATL and DTW.

Good news regardless but if you switched on this vacancy as a 2015 hire you would likely get bumped down through at least the end of the year.

Atl 200

ATL 200 FO went to some guys who have been on property two weeks on the award that just came out. That is all.

yea i saw that. kinda makes me wish I would have bid nyc 900 so I could have went to Detroit on the 900 instead of the 200. Now Im seat locked probably till I upgrade. I wasnt sure how long it would take though, and the thought of reserve in New York made it worthwhile for me to ride it out on the 200.

Shall be interesting to see what happens when the C series hopefully pushes us out of NYC

You mean pushes the cushy 900 trips to what the 200 does now?

Well, the 200 has already been almost entirely pushed out as is... what do we have, 14 lineholding fos and captains there in NY versus 220 on the 900?

May 7th Class

Anybody know what the aircraft and base assignments were for the May 7th class? They should have them by now right? Hoping to see some people under me in Detroit.

18-02 final said there were 22 spots available to new hires. 18-03 vacancy has 5 open spots. Why isn't anyone getting Detroit on the 200?

18-03 spots cannot be awarded to new hires until after the final award.

Just because there are spots, that doesn’t meant the company has to fill them. They are only prevented from filling spots that have not been made available to pilots already on property.

Prop Job 05-23-2018 02:17 PM

18-02 Final rev. 3 showed 22 DTW 200 FO slots available. Why does the 18-03 initial award only have 11 people moving to that position? I know there are more that preferenced it, myself included.

What's awarded on 18-03 has nothing to do with 18-02. Any FO positions unfilled on 18-02 could have been offered to new hires at that point, because they had been offered to everyone on property.

Prop Job 05-24-2018 02:45 AM

I figured that since 18-02 final rev 3 came out after the 18-03 announcement, and none of those positions have been given to new hires, that 18-02 rev 3 would be a more accurate picture of what is available. Maybe they'll show up on the final next week or maybe they've already been slated to go to the next new hire class. Either way, I'm confused.

When they do a revision to a final award they don’t update those new hire positions. There are usually only a couple small changes noted in bold. So even though 18-02 rev 3 just came out, those positions for new hires are not updated. Either the company offered them to new hires after 18-02 or they chose not to fill those positions.

SoarHigh757 05-26-2018 09:20 AM

Relatively recent new hire here (2/18). Excuse my ignorance, but how do you determine the cutoff for line holders at the various bases? I’m trying to compare DTW and ATL for a 200 FO. I’ve seen posts in this thread in the past with updates for each base, but was trying to learn how to determine it on my own so don’t have to keep bothering you all for a new summary. Thank you for your help.
