Default Newhire Chances of Getting ATL?

Hi all, just applied and wondering what the chances are of getting assigned ATL, or how long it would take to get there if it's not possible out of training?

My situation is probably different than the average. Priority for me is QOL and being able to maximize days off at home, but I would have to commute from TX. ATL seems like the shortest commute?

Any other bases you can recommend to get the best schedule the fastest, while being able to commute from SAT or DFW?

Any interview pointers would also be appreciated. Feel free to PM me.

Very much appreciated.

200 in Atlanta is going to new hires. 900 takes about 2-3 months post IOE. New York would be a half way decent commute with potential for overnights every once in awhile. Pm'd you with more info.

DFW-ATL is known to be one of the hardest commutes even for mainline delta pilots. Commuting to NY from DFW would be even easier.

I'm not sure how this is different than average.
