That will dictate your seniority in class starting Jan 1 going forward. If you are senior you are much more likely to get a 900 slot if that's your goal.
I'm right in the middle, 5.

ha, of course. will be hard to say. 9 numbers will be the most senior and get their pick first. Perhaps someone in a recent class can shed some light as to how many 200 slots are being offered. If 70-80% of the slots are 900, you probably have a good chance

Too bad it's not age or prior 121. As long as I don't have to commute, I guess it's a step up. Although, I thought the higher numbers had the lowest seniority, and the lower numbers were higher, i.e 0001 had first choice, and 9999 had last choice. I believe that's how it's worded.

Entire class was assigned 900 JFK or LGA.

900 vs 200 is needs of company and seniority depending on what is available.

In school right now. 900s are all going N.Y. and training is pretty backed up for those guys. Should be about 3-3.5 months for those guys. 200s are getting through a little quicker right now because not as many. 200 people got whatever base they bid for in this class (besides MSP) apparently the class are rotating between 900 and 900/200 split

For what it's worth, the "positions available to new hires" numbers tell that 62% of upcoming new hires can expect the 900. With this 900, 200/900 rotation (which they've been doing since August) one would expect about 1/3 of the guys in the 200/900 class to get the 900 and 2/3 to get the 200.

Well, that's depressing. At least there's also a chance of all classes being 900 if they ship off the 200. And if the 200s go, seat lock goes too.

If you're awarded 200 in class, and then get 900CA due to prior 121 after IOE, how does that work? Back for differences, and then another round of IOE?

Its just like Delta does it now. 9999-0001. High to low, first to last.

The 200 isn't going anywhere, yet. Heck, for them to say that we would have parked "12 CRJ-200's by the end of the year", yet we've only flown 3 to IGM, starts to make you wonder.

Is there any rhyme or reason to how they are arranging the classes as far as equipment? I have the choice of either February 12 or 26 and would prefer to get the 900 if I can.

With February being so far away, who knows if the current trend of 900, 200/900 alternating classes will stick. Best to ask the recruiters.
