I heard the old Endeavor parking before construction started was right in front of c or d. True? If so can we get our parking back there now with the garages reopening?
No idea where they were before, I only started last year. That would be nice if they let us park in those garages. But I will say even with the bus ride from long term parking we have to do now, it’s still better than parking at JFK.

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t AA and UA all in the same terminal now? The “old” one? As in just run to the other KCM down the hall and not get on a bus. There is two C and D concourses at LGA, one in terminal C and both in terminal B and one in terminal D

AA and UAL are in the same terminal but you still have to take the bus from Terminal C or D before or after your trip.

A mainline pilot told me a few months back that JFK-ORD she usually has to stick with the jumpseat
Did jfk ord turns last week, bunch of em and not one was full.... Two left with open first class seats. But yea they're usually fairly full.

Same observation here I think we had two passengers doing ORD-JFK, but every time I commute on one of ours I'm in the FA jumpseat.

In the same realm considering if EDV is a viable option to commute from ORD. Would a crash pad be necessary in NYC (or another hub), or is the commuter policy reliable to get to work and back to ORD?

Commuter policy only helps you get to work. No help getting home.

You’ll probably need a crashpad in nyc...hotels are too expensive each night. Upwards of $120. Fortunately you won’t have to use it too much post reserve...The company seems to be building more and more of the 5 day commutable trips which always start late (like 2 pm) and end early (like 5 pm). Throw 5 together (they guarantee 25 hours each) and you’re good. Expect to basically live in the crashpad during your 4-6 months of FO reserve. Utilization is so low it’s laughable. On the bright side, from Chicago, the most common reserve type (P2) should be 100% commutable on the ends. You need to arrive at either nyc airport by 12:30 pm on the first day and can leave at 7pm on the last day...though they’ll also usually let you go home early...around 3 pm generally. This means you should only have to stay in nyc about 12 nights a month.

Dtw you can probably get away with a hotel post reserve. They’re like $40 a night. Dtw has become a fairly junior fo base on both aircraft.

Also, nyc to Chicago should be one of the easiest commutes in the world... two reasons...not same airline hub to hub, and 50 flights a day.

Commuting from Ord can be a harder challenge than exprected. While they have shuttle, they usually go out full. Unlike say Dca to lga which does out empty day after Day

Every single LGA to ORD flight today went out with open seats. I know Tuesday is not the busiest day but not a single flight in the next three days is booked full either (and I’m sure this is one of those routes that has a very high no show rate given the high amount of business travel). Compared to some of the other commutes people out there try to attempt (like Mem or DFW to ATL, or MSP to ATL), Chicago is a cakewalk.
