I've heard that too. Cancelled vacations. Not sure if it's true. Who knows these days.

What were the circumstances? Changed seat/equipment/domicile? I know people who complained about losing their vacations when they did this or people who didn’t have enough vacation time saved up. If you don’t have enough vacation time saved up, they will cancel days from your vacation. I know someone who went on a rant for getting their vacation cancelled but they had not even read the policy and had no idea that it was normal for the vacation to be cancelled under one of the above circumstances.

Not True. And vacation is “pre assigned” in PBS. So they cant just cancel it then make you fly a trip that wasn’t awarded in pbs acter the fact.. you may want to talk to him again. The only way to “loss” your vacation is to transfer basses, and that week isn’t open..

Every month I have to delete the vacation admin e-mail that is essentially half a page of warnings punctuated with red text just because some moron can't find the PPM and "THEY CANCELLED MY VACATION!!!1!!"

No sympathy.

He had trips dropped over his vacation week during the PBS process because of company need. He said he bids in the middle third of DTW CA and that the top 1/3 gets what they request, then the second third gets overloaded, and the bottom 1/3 usually gets more of their requests.

Brilliant. Not "I know that because," but you heard it.

It must be true, then.

Heard it from a friend who, heard it from a friend who, heard it from a friend who heard it from another that...

Must be that ADHD kicking in again which prevented you from reading further, but I'm pretty sure the rest of my post was something along the lines of, Not sure if it's true. Who knows these days.

If that sounded like a definitive statement then I have to rethink so many conversations I've had.
