It's all good, masterful trolling. I actually enjoyed it, I hope there is a round two.

I tipped the driver a twenty the other day, he took us someplace we weren’t supposed to go, everyone was happy.

Can the mods lock and delete all the threads about tipping the van drivers? They are more worthless than the crap on guard.

It was once theorized that if we gave everyone a keyboard and told them to type randomly, we would eventually get a reproduction of the works of Shakespeare. Instead we ended up with dozens of internet threads about flight crew tipping van drivers.

You make me never want to tip another person ever again. You must be an absolute joy.

I quoted you, and responded to you.

Was my quoting you and responding to you then directed at you personally?

Go ahead. Guess. I bet you get it right.

Let's explore that. I don't know you. I don't care care about you. I won't lay awake at night thinking about you, or worrying if you're tipping.

You figure out if your tipping makes me happy. I bet you get this one right, too.

You call that "rage," do you? Do you still live with mom and dad and have a very sheltered life? Only child? Spoiled a bit, maybe?

My comments apply to you because I QUOTED YOU.

Wear long sleeves so that thin skin doesn't get sun burned.

Is it really that important to you to make sure you control how much that van driver ends up with at the end of the day? You're really such a small person that you're worried about how much he makes, or has in his pocket? A little schadenfreude going there, maybe you want to hold that guy down? Is he not as good as you?

Tipping isn't about you compensating an employee to adjust their wage. It's about being less of a god damn cheapskate and acting more like a professional: something you don't appear to have grasped.

Five bucks isn't a big chunk of that per diem. Take a deep breath here: sharing a little bit of it won't kill you.

My opinion is they are fine. There are a lot more threads out there for you to read.

Speaking of acting like a professional, maybe you should try it, instead of acting like yourself.

Legacy pilots, with multi-millions in net worth, lecturing regional newbies and insisting they match what they tip.

smh

Legacy pilot here, no multi millions. I tipped at my regional. When my pay was $23/hr. You do you with your tipping, or not. But don't whine like you aren't making solid income at the regional level these days. When I left mine, 4 years ago, my captain pay was 72/hr. That's less than 1st year fo pay at most shops now. Oh, and no bonuses. Nobody is making you tip.

I don’t think Mr. Burke is a legacy pilot, I think he still works odd jobs with his air of superiority.
