I think it has gotten better... in the past it was definitely staffed by the type of person who while in flight school was angry that normal dudes were bangin sluts and railin ruts while they were geekin out about airplanes with their other buttbuddies.
It was very punitive on a very petty level. You learned essentially nothing of value. THe type of person that needs to head our taining department is M VanA. Learned more from him on one loft than the rest of my training events at 9e combined. |

+2 on MvA. He did my type ride and fed ride back in 08. Exactly the kind of guy for the job. His debrief's were concise, informative and not the least bit condescending like some of the other guys in the northern Mississippi training club.

I don't work at Endeavor but this is what a check ride should be. I think a lot of instructors forget the teaching aspect of it.

80, care to disagree?
Pushing someone to find their limit so you can teach them something might seem like a good idea, however, it is completely unethical to do this. |

I disagree, any jeopardy event should be strictly a checking event. There is plenty of time for learning in other events.

Fixed it for you.
I've read your "fix" several times and can't make out what you're trying to say. |

In a single pilot operation, the one pilot's only function is to make sure the systems are working, and secure. They would do no flying, just verification work.
