Endeavor and other decisions

Reserve in ORD doesn't last very long... Still not sure why ppl say it's the worst. I think junior line holder is ten times worse than being on reserve. I was never forced into standups and opposite PM AM locals around standups while on reserve. YMMV

Thanks for that! I am basically trying to get as much information as possible to make an informed decision. Seems like there is a pro and con to everywhere. Pretty much just need to make the best of it....

Where do you live? Choose the regional that has a base where you live.

Commuting from ORD to New York I hear isn't too bad with the shuttle flights but trying to get to MSP or DTW will have you fighting lots of cancellations and lots of commuters at the same time. Not a good combination for a new hire.

Lest define why SkyWest reserve is so bad. 10+ years ago it was great.. You only got base flying. Now they send you across the country to do a iron mountain overnight.. (I actualy like the running trail begind the hotel) but going from the west coat to there is a huge waste of my time and the company's....
Rather just get called put for a SBA overnight... Actualy fly my domiciles flights. Not 3 time zones over...

Been doing ORD DTW for 5 years. Its hit and miss. Went years without an issue and then couldnt get to work on time for five weeks in a row last March. One week I didnt get on a flight for almost 24 hours (17 flights). Only issue since was when 24 of the 25 flights cancelled one day during a blizzard.
I miss living in base.

I was at Endeavor from summer 2011-summer 2012. It was arguably "the place to go" when I first got there. A lot of projected movement. I went to military leave for 3 years and just got back. When I was gone, from what I hear it was not a happy place to be. Since the 20k happened a couple months before I got back it seems, again, to be "the place to be". People are happy and there is finally some hiring, plus the extra pay is great. But who knows...I would go for not commuting, but ORD is a pretty easy commute from any of Endeavors bases. Good luck, PM me if you have any specific questions about Endeavor that I could maybe answer.
