You can't follow along, can you? Urbandrone has said he was doing something outside of your contract as well as being rewarded somehow outside of it, too. What you describe here is typically not outside of any contract. Again, nice try.

Pilots often try to get something in exchange for working from the company. I've heard of pilots getting a trip pulled in exchange for agreeing to do a junior man. There is plenty of bartering going on especially rsv pilots. Sorry you can't follow.

The only thing else I have to follow is that you condone this. It will not be a good result if it continues. But what else should I expect except selfishness from pilots.

Edit: Again I have to make the point if enough pilots do things against the contract, CS or other company reps become conditioned to expect it from the group as a whole. Who are you to dictate what's best for the group?

It doesn't matter if I condone this or not. It's happening. Pilot A gets junior manned on xmas eve
But in exchange offers to pull New Year's Eve, what would most people do? Make New Years plans!!!

The real question is why are you opening the door for a junior man by answering your phone?

What the company has done outside of contract for me. Given me motel rooms when I have a short overnight in domicile when something went to crap. I have been given positive space travel on my first flight out when it looked bad so I didn't have to use the call in honest policy. (Talking to other pilots company has really went far beyond what the contract requires when it comes to the call in honest policy) They have eliminated my sitting ready reserve for the past couple of months, I was given a small cost of living pay adjustment this year without having to negotiate, I have asked the CP help with my schedule and had it approved. The company has treated me well, just the same as every other pilot here. They have wen t beyond what the contract requires.

In turn I have decided that when asked if I can show sooner than the minimum show time of the contract and I can, I will. Yet many will not because it's not required. You also have the right to do it, I just think that if you can make the operation run more smoothly, you should. Both the pilot group and company will benefit.

CS has no idea who I am, the company has no idea who I am. The extras are QOL enhancements the company does for all pilots. No quid Pro quo, or favors for just me, no rewards.

I find it absurd that my prior texts got twisted into asking direct favor from CS for coming in early. The folks who turn this "do the right thing" post into a quid pro quo accusation are the some folks who will nothing more than minimally required of them, noting extra. They also have a moral opposition to people who will do extra and can't see doing it unless a quid pro quo is happening, people of low moral character.
