Please do not try and project your personal feelings on the rest of us. Just because you'd walk over a fellow pilot to better your career doesn't mean the rest of us would. Most pilots seem to have higher standards and morals than you obviously do. Here's hoping we never meet in a cockpit...

You'd think the crap that has happened over the past 4-5 years at 9E would make some of those guys a little more humble..yet it hasn't. They are drooling over Compass 175s that they wish they had. The attitude is amazing. You assume you're getting 175s from Compass? Get real.

Oh please, if you want to know how pilots really treat each other, especially from different airlines, try fighting for the jumpseat on a commute. You think the guy who has priority over you feels bad? Heck no, he is just happy to go home and take care of #1. If you lose flying, and my company picks it up, am I going to refuse to fly it, or have a nice line and pay my bills and take care of my family? Pilot unity is a load of horse crap! If you really wanted pilot unity, you'd be for GLOBAL seniority numbers, and every shop would be an OPEN shop. Thats right, any senior pilot in Alpa could come and push you down lower... Thats how a real union works. What a bunch of dreamers... Go read Sun Tzu's "The Art Of War"

Delta would be dumb not to get 9E ready for the Ejet with the looming pilot shortage coming.. They need to protect there feed. How may pilots at Compass? 700~. In reality if the majors each start hiring 80-100 an month and compass has 40-100 leave one month could realy hamper the Delta operation..

Still regretting your decision to leave 9E I see, I'm guessing we'll see you back in a new hire class at 9E in the near future.

Has anyone considered this as a possibility? Delta cuts ties with Republic. Republic owns the planes so Delta can't take them and place them elsewhere. Therefore, Delta buys an equivalent number of 175's and places them at 9E, or one of the other 175 operators.

How would that be any different than if that many people at Endeavor got hired elsewhere?

No contract to be in violation of for inability to staff. Delta simply either reduces schedules or covers that flying in house. If a contractor can't cover that flying... see Freedom and Republic.

No, we flew for only Delta when we were acquired.

Even adding in the new build OO E175's that start entry into service in August, the math is still sketchy to 100% push CPZ off the west coast and transfer the aircraft. And that includes all 39 of the discussed additional aircraft in service, and a greatly oversimplified perspective of what may happen.

As other posters have said, E170/190 sim time is a scarce thing right now. If you're Delta and you have 8-9 months until entry into service it is completely doable, especially when your short-term target fleet size is only 20 of them.

With all due respect, a few weeks ago, the same people that are making this rumor a reality were gloating over the addition of the G7 CRJ7 fleet. Now that one seems DOA, move on to the next one, which evidently is the Embraer fleet addition.

Just show us some respect if you are taking our planes. Based on some of the posters on here, I unfortunately feel that is unlikely to happen either.

Rumor on.
We are not taking your airplanes, mainline wants to operate them with the E190's. This saves millions yearly due to fleet commonality. 9E is an alter ego allowed by the mainline union. Thus we will probably, due to staffing, be trading our 900's for your E175s eventually.

You could have stayed at 9E, and had a Delta CJO in hand, why be so mean?
