Default Envoy Hub at LAX

Has anyone heard anything official about Envoy starting a hub at LAX?

If anything official had been announced, you wouldn't have to start a thread to ask. There would be one within 2 minutes of the announcement. So far, it's all just speculation.

The nest is already so packed!! Unless they take over Compass flights it would be a hard stretch to add more regional feed in LAX... I would love to see it!! I flew for Wings West in LAX. Best time of my life!! (For those not old enough to know Wings West. That was one of the pre-merged eagle airlines)

It's just wishful thinking. While it would be great to re-open the base, there are no plans currently.

It sounds like they're going to let Skywest and Compass have LA for now. Envoy will most likely get the Compass 175s when that contract is up in 2019/20 though. Maybe they'll be able to send a couple of 140s out west? Who knows.

Sounds like they're trying to negotiate a way to be more fluid with opening and closing bases. Rumor mill of course and talking to P2P guys. So I'm guessing that's where all these base rumors are coming from.

Envoy WANTS the compass 175s when the contract is up. Big difference between "wants" and "most likely get".

If there is ever any kind of official talk about a LAX hub you won't hear about it until it's a done deal. Same goes for anything of any importance around here.

Words are important. What you posted is how rumors get started (or are perpetuated). We don't know what these guys are doing to do next week let alone in 2019.
